Time Change for Furry Friends

Over the weekend I had a conversation with our family that was visiting from Colorado.  It is hard to keep track of some states and even countries that do not observe time changes.  When you work with people all over the world it is a challenge.  With that said, how about in your own home.  Could someone please tell our cats!  It takes a good month for our furry friends to observe our new sleep pattern change.  Wow are they slow to go with the schedule!

Don't Forget

Daylight saving time comes to an end Sunday.  Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.  There may be a few of us that may not remember to do this.  I hope I remember!  

AHHHCHOOOO

I had no idea that there is a best way to blow your nose.  Did you?
Step 1.  Blow gently one nostril at a time.
Step 2.  Do not hold both nostrils tightly while you blow.
Step 3.  Do not blow your nose forcefully as this jams nasal secretions into the sinus cavities, which can cause a sinus infection.
Step 4.  Use a tissue not a sleeve.  (I added that one)

Surprise????

So some person in your life thinks for one reason or another that you should have a surprise party.  For the most part this may be a great idea.  However, the more folks that are invited the more change that the surprise may be foiled.  There is always the people that dislike surprises.  Whether the surprise is a good one or bad one.
There is also the case the you figure it out and have to do a fake face. I have only had one surprise party in my life time.  I was when I was named Parade Marshal for Apple Fest years ago.  Surprise!!!!! How do you take it?

Winter Parking Time Is Here

So  why do we get confused this time of year with the Alternate Side Parking?  Is the same set of rules each year.  Its the same concept each year.  The ordinance exists to assure that the snowplows can get through.  Here is one way to think of it.....A person living at 415 Main St would need to be parked on their side of the street on a odd number calendar day.  This means that on the even number calendar day prior to retiring for the evening make sure that your car is on the odd side of the street.  So.......is that clear?  Funny the alternate side parking ends on April Fools Day!

To Eat Or Not To Eat

This morning during exercise time....the conversation was focused on  Halloween Candy.  What is the best type to buy.  One person said that large candy bars is best because is not as easy to eat the whole bag.  The candy is for the kiddos after all.  Another lady said that she only buys candy that no one in the house cares for.  That is all well and good, but what if there is not a candy you don't care for.  The answer.......buy extra.  Happy Halloween.....

I cant understand why Kim K. can wear short shorts and make headlines.  I saw a guy walking past our house with bunny slippers and zebra pants...he didnt make any news at all.
